May the next year be full of joy, good health and blessings!

(And lots of great books!)

Happy New Year, everyone!

No resolutions for me–I’m calling them “life changes.”

What about you?  Are you making any New Year’s “life changes” as well?

We Interrupt Your Regularly Scheduled Programming…

…to celebrate Christmas!  I’ve got double duty this week at the Soapbox Queens and it was my turn to host our montly contest, which gave me snowychristmas.jpganother day and I thought to myself, “Self, you don’t have time for this.  You have to bake little smokies and make cheeseballs and run from pillar to post and back again and at some point actually celebrate Christmas.”

There might have even been a little cussing in there, but I edited for content because I am thoughtful that way.

Anyway, I digress.  Frequently.

Ahem.

So…long story short I’m going to take this week off from my blog and will return with new and exciting posts full of the rambling mediocrity you’ve come to expect from me starting December 31st.

In the mean time, here’s wishing you a very  and a blessed New Year.

Movies, Movies, Movies!

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

Ahhh.  The Holiday season, when some of the best films are released.

Pirates 3 just came to video, so I had to add it to my collection.  Harry Potter 5 will be released soon and that’s what I told the kids I want for Christmas from them.  Then there are several movies coming out at the theatre that I want to see.

psiloveyouP.S. I Love You with Gerard Butler and Hilary Swank.  Looks like a fabulous movie.  Sweeney Todd with the sweenytoddincomparable Johnny Depp.  (My son wants to see this one as well.)  And National Treasure 2.  I loved the first one and am really looking forward to this second one as well.  Since most of these movies are released on the same day, I’m thinking I may have to make it an all day deal.  I haven’t done that in a long time, but…

What about you?  Any movies you’re looking forward to catching this Holiday season?

thebigheat160.jpgJennifer LaBrecque’s THE BIG HEAT is on shelves and available now!  And it’s  Featuring Cade Stone–Linc’s brother from my November Blaze, FEELING THE HEAT–this book is a must read!  Jen’s trademark humor, skillful characterization and witty dialogue make this story shine.  And Cade…  (’scuse me, I need a moment)

Ahem.

Cade is one helluva hero.  Strong, tough and unapologetically male.  Need I say more?

Be sure and check out the Soapbox Queens on Monday when we’ll be doing an Official Book Launch for this release.  Lotsa fun and lotsa free books, Soapbox Queens style, so you know it’s going to be fun.

A new corncob to chew on.  Doesn’t take much to make my big ole furry baby happy, does it?

Oh, Christmas Tree!

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

The tree is up and trimmed.  Presents are wrapped, but I haven’t put the bows on them yet because the dog likes to drag them off and eat them.  What about you?  Have you decorated your tree?  If so, what colors?

(And note to self–buy new blinds. )

Stick A Fork In Me…

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

I’m done.

Oh, sweet mercy.  I don’t know about the rest of you, but I ate WAY too much.

Turkey?  Check.

Dressing?  Check.

Casseroles?  Check.

Bread?  Check.

Dessert?  Check.  Check.  Check.

It’s a good thing I’m going to work some of this off today by putting up my Christmas tree.    (Picture to come later!)

Have a GREAT weekend, everyone!

I hope all of you have a wonderful Holiday.  I am very, very thankful for each and every one of you.  *fans face*  Thank you for reading my books, being my friends–real and online–and taking a few moments of your day to come and hang out with me.

I am truly blessed.
