I've seen the military cemetary where my little sister is buried decked out for July 4th in flags, but never for Christmas. Beautiful. Fallen heroes are in my thoughts a lot these days. Here in my hometown in Alabama, a local police officer who had only been on the force 3 years was shot and killed during a traffic stop last week. He left behind a wife and 5 children, ages 18 months to 9 years old. Not only do our military/police forces sacrifice, but their families do too. This family sacrificed a father and husband. His children will always remember losing him at Christmas. I only hope that somehow the community support will make Christmas bearable this year. Thank you, Rhonda.
