Whine About it Wednesday!

You know, things are going really well right now. I’m working on a new book and it’s flowing well. The kids are all well. The dh is finished working the outage and is finally home more. I’ve got a Writer’s Retreat this weekend that I’m really looking forward to.  (We’re having a Murder Mystery party and I get to wear a flapper dress.  )  All in all, other than the fact that I continue to eat and NOT lose weight, I can’t complain.   But that doesn’t mean that you can’t.  Whine away!  I’m listening!

Husband got home last night at 11 PM after being gone since last Wednesday. He had missed child real bad and wanted to get him up to give him the gifts he had brought. So guess who is real fussy this morning. CHILD. Six year old need sleep.

  2. Rhonda Says:

    Oh, but Susan, how sweet!

  3. Andrea Laurence AKA Smarty Pants Says:

The sudden arrival of fall (and an unfortunate trip through the hay maze) has prompted a sudden flare up of my allergies. Sneezing and sneezing and sneezing. Its making me CRAZY! I do not want to be sniffling and snorking my way through the retreat!

In other whines, I have entirely too much junk to pull together for this trip. I’ve piled some things together, but I have not packed at all. I’m going to forget something!

  4. Kimberly Says:

The amount of crap I have to accomplish before I can leave for the retreat tomorrow…

I look forward to leaving…I do not look forward to getting ready to leave.

But I’m leaving the snorking snifflers at home (both AC and DG are suffering). Now it sounds like I’ll be listening to Andrea. (At least I don’t have to tell Andrea “Go Blow!” all the time…

  5. Jen Says:

Well, maybe you can tell Andrea that this weekend, Kimberly.

I got no whine — amazing.

  6. Kathy Says:

Oh Andrea, I’m sniffling and sneezing too. That comes after spending hours sitting in the pouring rain the other night watching a HS football game.

Susan, your DH is precious. Naps are good.

So glad things are going great for you and yours, Rhonda.

My big whine is my knee. I’m at the point where I want to tap my foot again to music which is quite an improvement. I still limp, sometimes really badly when I get up and my knee is stiff. My knee tries to give out under me at times too. The brain says, I want to run and yet I can’t! I feel like an old lady and I’m so ready to be normal again.

  7. Ginger Says:

Yep, I have some of the crap too. Good news, the girls (mammogram) had their picture taken yesterday, and that went good. I also got the flu shot and my arm isn’t too sore today… . Other than a small headache, all is good. It’s cool outside, overcast and drizzly, yeah, we need it.

  8. Rhonda Says:

Andrea, I can’t wait until the retreat!!! Feel better!

Kimberly, too funny. I’m constantly telling one of my kids to “Go blow!!” too.

Jen, I’m sure you will think of something.

    Hugs on your knee, Kathy!

    Glad everything is okay, Ginger!

  9. Lynn Raye Harris Says:

I’m looking forward to the retreat too! But what’s all this about packing lists? Oh wait, Kim is involved.

Kathy told me to keep it casual, like with sweatshirts and pants. Do I need a list for that?

I have to play a man, which is kind of a shame because I don’t get to buy a fun flapper outfit. I have to go shopping for a fedora in a few minutes. I’ll probably wear one of hubby’s too big suit jackets. So while you’re glamorous, Rhonda, I’ll be frumpy.

But I got nothing to whine about really! I’ve been getting work done, and that’s good.

  10. Fedora Says:

You guys sound like you’ve a fun weekend ahead! Not much to whine about except that I overcooked the turkey tonight–oops!

And OT, it’s still a little funny to see “fedora” (the name of the hat) in print–I know it isn’t my name and yet it is…
