Monday Already?
I’m not ready for Monday. ![]()
Over the weekend, my daughter and I planted our fall flowers. I’ve watched a couple of movies–THE GAMEPLAN and BECOMING JANE. (Took the kids to the former–very funny and I wasn’t sure what to expect–and myself to the latter. Loved it. Very good movie and it was much preferrable to the football mania going on at home.Â
Me and the dh went shopping for some new clothes for him. His twenty year high school reunion is coming up this weekend and he wanted some new duds. Since he’s gained around sixty pounds in the last few years and FINALLY outweighs me–woot!–I got to say, “Pleats aren’t your friend anymore” while he was trying on pants and got an evil little thrill.Â
Yes, I know I’m bad. (And he needed to gain the weight. When we married he wore 28/34’s–and could wear a pair of SWEATS underneath. Life is not fair, ya’ll. Seriously. Yes, he finally outweighs me, but I still feel like Jack Spratt and his wife.
)
In addition to all this fun, I finished Susan Carroll’s THE HUNTRESS and loved it. Right now I’m reading THE RAVEN PRINCE by Elizabeth Hoyt and it’s wonderful. Very different, which is heartily refreshing.
Today, I start on the revisions for the book I just turned in and the daughter is hacking in the living room as I type this, so I’ll be tending to a sick child as well. But after all of the relaxing activity over the weekend, I am undaunted.

Aren’t relaxing weekends great?!?! I had one myself.
And next weekend will be wonderful too. I’m going to a scrapbooking conference to take a few classes and shop. Fun, fun!
Rhonda, I finally finished my Scotland Scrapbook!!

I had a pretty relaxing weekend myself. Yet I’m still tired
Much to do today. Sorry your girl is sick…mine was complaining when she left for school today, so I’m preparing for the school to call.

Danniele, you’re bringing your scrapbook to the retreat, right? I really want to see it. I patted myself on the back when I bought and album and put all of my pictures in it.
Kimberly, hope AC makes it through the day, bless her heart. And yours. Maybe you need more than a relaxing weekend. Maybe you need a relaxing week.

Sorry to hear girl is sick, I’ve been hacking for weeks now. Didn’t we have a beautiful weekend or what…
. Love these temperatures. Have a great Monday.
Ps.. I want to go see that movie “The Gameplan”. And another good read would be “Agnes and the hitman”, by Jenny Crusie and Bob Mayer, I read it last weekend.

Sorry that your daughter’s sick
Hope she’ll be feeling better soon and that you had such an enjoyable weekend! Re: DH outweighing you, I don’t think it’s an issue with my DH, but I did date someone briefly in high school whom I outweighed (especially during cross country season–he was a long distance runner)–that was awful! I hated even going out to eat with him–ugh! Hee!

I’ve recovered from the weekend. Friday football and a leg on the mend don’t mix.
Good luck with your revisions!

Ginger, the weekend was lovely!
Jen, got very little done here with the whiny one here.
Fedora, for the most part we rock along just fine. I’ve never been what you could call skinny, but had packed on some pounds after the kids were born. I’m just now starting to shave those off, but still have a little bit to go.
Kathy, thanks! So glad to hear that you’re getting better!
