Another List…

UPDATE:  Got a lot done today!  Woot!

I always make grandiose plans after finishing a book about all the things that I am going to accomplish when I am finished.  I thought I would share this with you, and then let you know what I *actually* get done.

1.) Clean house

2.) Take down all light fixture globes and wash them.

3.) Move fridge and stove and clean behind them.

4.) Remove clothes from the kids’ closets that no longer fit. (Acutally did that last night–have oodles and free hangers and three hefty bags for goodwill, eBay and my neice.)

5.) Organize all my pictures, which are currently stuffed into drawers in the china cabinet. (Which doesn’t hold china, btw)

6.) Paint my front door a different color.

7.) Buy mums and pansies and redo all of my flower pots outside in the anticipation of a real fall (91 here yesterday, but… )

8.) Clean out my fridge.

9.) Clean baseboards.

10.) Read Susan Carroll’s THE HUNTRESS (Am almost halfway through this and it’s so lush and fabulous.  Beautifully written!)

So what about you?  Are you a list-maker?

Why on earth would you need to clean behind the fridge or stove? It’s not like anyone looks behind there (and if they do, they deserve to get an eyeful).

    I have a pretty firm rule. I don’t clean what I can’t see.

And I am the Queen of Listmaking. I’m working on my newest list this morning.

  2. Ginger Says:

Yes, I do make to do lists and if it is a very busy weekend, i.e., running errands, I will do one. Also, if there is a lot going on at work, it’s a must. Those lists help keep me on track and some days I really need that. I’m with Kimberly about cleaning behind the fridge or stove. .

  3. Jen Says:

I don’t even have to answer that listmaking question. You know.

Hey, can you come do all that at my house when you finish yours?

  4. Kathy Says:

Ah, Rhonda! Your list reminds me of all the things I need to do. I’ve been making a mental list but maybe if I wrote everything down, instead of getting depressed by how much I have to do, I’ll get inspired to do things so I can cross them off.

    It beats the alternative, .

  5. Fedora Says:

I’m with Kathy… I have sort of mental lists, but they haven’t been getting crossed off very well–might have to start making physical lists!

Kimberly, it’s because I know it’s there. The dirt, it taunts me.

Ginger, I would be lost without my lists!

Jen, I will never be finished here. It’s a contast battle.

Kathy, crossing them off *is* nice.

Fedora, if I didn’t write a list, I would be lost. I’m too scattered otherwise.

Kim, hope you enjoy the wedding! My cousin got married last weekend…barefoot!
