Improper Thoughts…

Our church finished Revival last night and I have thoroughly enjoyed it–particularly the music by This Hope–however at one point during the proceedings I happened to notice a little old lady sitting in front of me whose head barely peeked above the back of the pew.

And then I thought she looked like ET, from the back, when he’d been dressed up like a woman by Gertie.

And then I was immediately sorry.

I try to be good.  Really, I do.  But sometimes it’s just so very hard.

    That’s hilarious, Rhonda.

    Yep, that’s a good one.

You’re a better person than I am. I’d have hit my DH and whispered it into his ear. He’d have burst out laughing in the middle of a silent moment of prayer and everyone would have been staring at us. At least you were in the right place for repentance.

Ah, Rhonda. You are the perceptive one, aren’t you? You know I think similar things but I’m sitting in the choir loft looking out at everyone and can see the fronts of their faces. You get to see who’s falling asleep too.

I’m the master of inappropriate timed thoughts and giggle fits. I’m pretty sure when I get married, I will say as little as possible up there, maybe just “I do” if I can get away with it, cause I’ll probably either burst into hysterical tears or start laughing and be unable to stop. I’ve done that in church, in funerals, in class…bad, bad SP.

Speaking of ET - we have a woman at work here, who from behind, looks very poised. Not a hair out of place, well pressed suit, nothing to tip you off of her age or whatever. When she turns around - its the Crypt Keeper in a Carol Channing wig! Big shocker! Plus she’s mean, so I don’t feel bad about it.

Jen, it was hard to keep a straight face after that and I had to stop looking at her. Which is terrible, because she’s a sweet little old lady.

    Ginger!

    Kira, that’s what I thought.

Kathy, too funny! I don’t fall asleep, but I do entirely too much people watching.

Andrea, I can *so* see this about you. And about your co-worker!!!
