Pillow Talk

Last night as I was making my nest in bed, it occurred to me that my pillows–all four of them–had to be just right for me to go to sleep.    I need two under my head, one between my knees and one to hug.  I only keep four pillows on the bed so you can guess how many that leaves my dh with.   (There’s an extra on a settee that he uses, before you all decide I am a pillow hog.  Which I am, but there’s no need for name-callin’.)  Anyway, this got me to thinking about other people’s pillow habits.  For instance, Kira Sinclair lugged her fluffy purple pillow all the way to Scotland.  The last time me, Jen and Vicki got togehter, Jen brought her pillow as well.

Hmmm.  I sensing a pattern here.  Clearly I am not the only one with pillow issues.  So…what about ya’ll?  Any pillow preferences?  Inquiring minds….

My pillow goes on all overnight trips. But I only have one. Husband does have to have two. Have a great weekend.

I have all the pillows to myself, 5 big ones & 2 little ones. And I don’t have to share. . I don’t take any of them on trips with me. Have a wonderful, cooler and hopefully rainy weekend. See ya at the castle.

I don’t have to travel with my pillow, but I get mighty disappointed when a hotel has sub-par pillows. I need either one nice fluffy one, or two scrawny ones. If they’re lumpy or scratchy, I don’t sleep well. As picky as I am, I should bring my own, but my laziness outweighs it. I’d rather travel light.

I can’t go anywhere without my pillow You never know what kind of pillow situation is waiting for you on the other end of your journey. I’m very picky and must have no less than 3 pillows (fluffy ones) or I can’t sleep. If I don’t sleep I get grumpy and bitchy. When traveling with a group of women grumpy and bitchy just isn’t fun for anyone Besides, it can come in handy on an airplane.

I’m really not so picky. I just took it on our retreat cause I could. I try not to think too hard about who might’ve had a pillow ahead of me in a hotel. And when we go backpacking, I sleep on my clothes rolled up (well, that’d be the spare set cause no–I ain’t sleeping nakey in the woods!). My stepfather finally bought me one of those little blow up camping pillows. I’ll have to try it out this fall.

I don’t take my pillow anywhere. I leave it up to the Gods as to what awaits me in the bed hither and yon. But I am slightly depressed when I have to wad a pillow up just to make it fluffy enough for a comfortable nights sleep.

Have a great weekend, Rhonda and all!

Hmmm… I’m not too picky about my pillow, but I do like to have a reasonably decent one. Just one

I’m not too picky about it, but I do want a comfy pillow. I can’t possibly have more than one pillow. A queen-sized bed, one hubby who alternately curls up and then sprawls, and two cats who seem to need to sleep on MY side doesn’t leave me a lot of pillow room.

  10. Kimberly Says:

I usually need two–and one of them should ideally be fluffy, yet firm. (And do you know how hard it is to find one like that!)

But I don’t travel with mine. Like Andrea, I hope for the best. Then I complain miserably…

3 pillows here!! One for my head, my one long body pillow to hug, and the one for my spoiled cat. He sleeps next to me and shares the pillow I use for between my knees. Thank goodness his habit changed, when he was kitten, he used to sleep draped over my head! Have a good weekend, cyah in the castle!!

So good to know that I’m not the only one who has to have more than one pillow.

    Everybody have a great weekend!
