How To Ensure I Don’t Get *Any* Privacy

…go into a room and close a door.

:::sigh:::

Bedroom, bathroom.  Doesn’t matter.  The instant I go into a room and shut the door it’s as though I have set off some sort of alarm which tells every member of my family that they must find me.

Right then.

I’m stressed.  I’m trying to work.

  Argh!

Since I have whined all week, I promise to offer a new topic tomorrow.   Really.  I mean it.  I will not whine tomorrow, even though I am supposed to.

AC and DG just left for school and work. Not to make it worse for you, but…ahh, blissful silence.

You poor thing. Just hang in there for a few more days! LOL, a closed door is a guarantee they’ll hunt you down. I can be ignored for hours but the minute I close a door, I hear the DH ask Girl, “Where’s your mama?”

Funny, but you’re right, that will guarantee they will hunt you down. I bet you can’t wait until Thursday. My sister who has 4 kids, 3 of which are in school, is so looking forward to Thursday. It will be a HOLIDAY for her. And it’s okay to whine tomorrow, a woman has to do what she has to do. Have a terrific Tuesday.

You are correct, close the door and bells an whistles go off in abundance. Once hubby and son went to the mall, I was alone in my office for 10 whole minutes, no the guys hadn’t come back saying they changed their minds, which is usually the case…the smallest cat decided to paw at the door because his ‘mommy’ locked him out!!

Ugh… yes, it never fails I should enjoy my loving family while I can, right? Hope you get some peace and quiet today (is ten minutes too much to hope for?)

Close the door to the bathroom, take a shower, and that’s when the phone rings. Cats then paw at the door or dogs whine that you locked them out. Open the door and hit said dog in the head because she is right outside the door, staring at it. Let cat in and close the door, then cat wants back out. It’s a vicious cycle.

Love the kids but want privacy. Kids go to school, wish they were home. Again the cycle.

Enjoy the minutes you have. Take a deep breath and know that this moment will pass.

    Kim, I’m so jealous!

Jen, I would dearly love to be ignored for a little while.

Thanks, Ginger. It’s possible I will whine. It’s what I do best, after all.

Sarah, my little dog does the same thing. He has to be where I am.

Fedora, I would love to have ten minutes!

Thanks, Kathy. I’m practicing some deep breathing now.
