Sometimes…

…the level of my own stupidity amazes me.  Last night I was laying down, letting my daughter pluck my eyebrows because…

Well, because I am lazy and she’s good at it.

Anyway, she hands me the mirror, I take a look and see a lone hair that she’s missed.  I asked her for the tweezers and promptly stabbed myself in the eye.  Apparently, plucking eyebrows while laying flat on your back isn’t a good idea.

No worries, though.  I’m fine.  It hurt like several curse words last night–am making a concerted effort to clean up my language–but feels much better this morning.

Oy, vey, the things I can mess up.

Glad to hear that you are okay and your vision too. I have to have good morning light to see what I am doing and not seriously hurt myself. Hope you have a terrific Tuesday..

Just wait — when you get old like me all that hair stops growing. I hardly have to pluck a thing these days. And shaving my legs is a twice weekly event instead of daily.

Of course I also can’t see to do any of the above without my glasses. Getting older sucks.

I don’t know that I’d trust a tween with my eyebrows. I don’t trust anyone with them. They’re always trying to add on an eyebrow waxing when I get my nails done, but I’m afraid I’ll end up with scary pencil thin brows or worse, they’ll take a big chunk out that looks awful. My mom accidentally shaved part of hers off once and it never grew back. I won’t risk it!

Ouch! I’m glad to hear you’re okay.

I only trust one person with hot wax near my eyes - Babette. She does a fabulous job. Of course, I don’t get to her nearly as often as I should.

Thanks, Ginger! Hope you have a great day as well.

Marilyn, I gotta tell you, the hair maintenence is getting really old. I think that I’ll enjoy only shaving my legs twice a week.

Andrea, she’s very good at it. Gentle and generally thorough. And my wax girl is fabulous, but daughter has to keep up the plucking for me until time for me to go back to the hairdresser’s.

Kira, that’s my problem too. Too little time! Argh!

Ah yes… pencil thin brows. Waaaaaaay back when those were in style, an overzealous make-up person tweezed my brows and ever since I’ve had permanent thin brows. They won’t grow thicker. I think she must have yanked them out by the roots cause I remember how much it hurt.
