Depp Rocked, Savvy?
Me and the kids went to see Pirates 3 last night with some other friends and, though my friend Pam fell asleep, I was riveted. There were so many plot lines if you blinked, you’d miss an important thread. Did I like it?
LOVED IT.
Both kids loved it, though I spent a little time explaining a few things on the way home. The movie lasted 2 hours and 45 minutes and they crammed A LOT into that. Every character played their part splendidly, but natually it was Captain Jack who stole the show. I read somewhere that Johnny Depp is on board for a 4th movie if Disney comes through with an admirable script for the franchise. Given what I saw last night, they’d be fools not to. (Interestingly, I don’t remember people dressing up like wenches and pirates at the theater last time–and I’m not talking about the people who worked there. Regular–grown men and women–people were in full-on pirate regalia. 
 )
Anyway, if you didn’t rush out to Fandango, buy your tickets, go stand in line, get to the theater 45 minutes early in order to get a good seat last night like I did, then you definitely need to do it as soon as time permits. Great movie!!!

I haven’t seen any of these movies. I guess I need to get my head out of a book and get out there. I do have a friend who loaned me the “Cars” dvd which I plan to watch this weekend. Have a wonderful Memorial day weekend!

I remember some guy dressed up like Captain Jack when we went to see Pirates #2. Go figure.
I can’t go on Monday.
Guess I’ll have to go another time.

I can’t wait to see it on Monday! There’s just something about a guy who can wear more eyeliner than I do and look sexy doing it.

Andrea, my theater had an 8 and 8:05 showing. Wonderful!!!! (Thank you, Fandango.

Marilyn, seeing the people dressed up was a bit weird, but to each his own I guess.

I would not be the least bit shocked to see adults dressed up. They did for all the last 3 Star Wars movies, all the Harry Potter movies, and all of the horror movies. I really need to take the time to watch the 2nd Pirates
I bought it the day it was released, just haven’t had time to actually sit down and WATCH it 
And I am so proud of my girls 
Yesterday was their last day of school, and other than laundry, my house is almost back to normal

Sheryl, you’ve GOT to watch Pirates 2, then go see Pirates 3! It’s wonderful. Glad your house is almost back to normal!
