Another School Post…

Yesterday when I picked my daugther up from school–on trip # five, btw–she walked out with 5 lunch boxes, 1 stuffed backpack, 2 plastic sacks of disposable text books, 2 posterboard projects and a purse.

She could barely walk.

Since they’ve obviousy cleaned out desks and cleaned up the room, just what the heck are they supposed to do today?

I know! I didn’t even send Sweet Pea with a backpack yesterday. I figured there wasn’t anything left that needed to go inside it since they’d sent it all the day before.

Summer has officially begun for us. Pray for me. Both girls will be at the office

AC is bringing home tons of junk every day–mostly crap that needs to be thrown away, yet she’s fighting hard to keep it.

I’m upset that AC’s school doesn’t do Kindergarten graduation. Very sad.

My daughter brought home a full backpack for about 4 days in a row. I’m just grateful her teacher spaced it out, so I could go through it each day and get rid of what didn’t need to stay. A full day planned for today too, with 4 kids throughout the morning. Then they all go home and it’s NAP TIME!!!!!

Nothing, the probably would prefer that you not even send your kids, better off for them.

Isn’t the last day of school a bunch of silliness like watching movies or whatever? My neighbor’s kids didn’t even go the last day. Good for me as they helped me haul trash to the curb and load my car with basketball cards.

Kira, both kids at the office? Yes, you definitely need some divine guidance.

Kimberly, they should have had a Kindergarten graduation. That’s a big deal for them. I remember when my son graduated from preschool. They called all the kids up to the microphone one at a time and asked them what they wanted to be when they grew up. “Policeman! Fireman! Baseball star!” so you can imagine our surprise when our boy gets his turn at the mic and screams “Cake maker!” Evidently he’d been real impressed with the field trip to the bakery the day before.

Danniele, I wish that our teacher would have taken that approach. At the very least, my daughter could have brought home one lunch box a day.

Ginger, for what I’m paying to send my kids to this school, they’re going to go every day.

Andrea, here’s the thing–tomorrow is the last day. And they’re having Field Day, so… Who knows what they’re doing?
