Recent Conversation with my Daughter

“Will we have to make our beds when we’re out for summer vacation?”

“Haven’t you always had to make your bed?”

“But Momma.”   “It’s VA-CA-TION.  Do you know what that means?  Duh!  It means we’re supposed to rest.  That’s the whole point, right?  REST.”

“And you can rest…right after you make your bed.”

    Unless they plan on resting in bed, they can make them once they get up from sleeping in, right?

    Shame I can’t train DG to make beds….

    Marilyn, I’m going to. I don’t plan to spend the whole summer cleaning up after the little wreckers either.

    But moooommmmm!! Dont you know they have visions of you waiting on them hand and foot dancing thru their little heads? Breakfast cooked daily, drop all you are doing to cater to THEIR needs, oh and lets not forget the friends….cant forget those….muahhahaha I just busted some of my girls bubbles… ain’t life grand?
