The Diet

Five pounds as of this morning and I haven’t eaten a bite of the soup.  I’m eating the veggies and fruit and drinking lots of water.  (I also started working out at the gym yesterday and Acutally Sweated, so naturally I had to let Jen–fitness guru–know. )

Anyway, since so many of you have been asking about it, here’s the link.  I’m hoping that no one goes on it and then decides to hate me.  At the end of day one, I was ready to strangle my husband because it had been his idea to do this, but now I’m quite pleased.

In other news,  over the past two days I’ve been trying to refill the well, so to speak.  I’ve watched four movies–BECAUSE I SAID SO, CATCH AND RELEASE, MUSIC AND LYRICS and THE QUEEN.  I liked THE QUEEN the best, absolutely adore Helen Mirren.  I’m also reading Loretta Chase’s new book, NOT QUITE A LADY.   Wonderful, as usual, so far.

What about you?  What have you read/watched that you really enjoyed and would suggest?

I hate you! I nearly drowned myself in that damn pool yesterday trying to master this swimming thing and my scale is stuck at an ugly number.

Just kidding — sort of… Actually, I’m so proud of you for working out and giving up the Diet Mt. Dew!! Those are two huge wonderful changes. You go, baby!!

    Go Rhonda!

I haven’t seen any movies lately BUT I figure my mom and I will make a run through the chick flicks once I get to her place. I fly out at noon tomorrow and it will take me til about 7:00 to get there (flying into an airport 90 minues away and renting a car).

The most recent movie I watched was the Bourne Idenity with Matt Damon. I was okay with it. My reading lately has consisted of Thea Devine books which I have enjoyed.

Congradulations on the weight loss, you go girl!!!

Er…Jen. I haven’t completely given up the diet Dew, and the minute this diet is over, I’m going to stand in the kitchen and guzzle a two-liter from the bottle until it’s empty. But I am working out. Just got back, in fact.

Have a great time, Marilyn! Because I Said So is a good mother daughter movie.

    Thanks, Ginger!

I don’t know if I can give up soft drinks. I went diet to save the calories (dog bless Diet Coke with Splenda–it doesn’t taste so nastily DIET).

I need that ice cold caffiene jolt first thing in the morning…
