And now, through no fault of my own, and for reasons I cannot understand, I look like this…
 How could she do this to me??? I look like an albino squirrel! Who cares if I had hot spots everywhere and that every time a pesky flea bites me I get another one? I was cute and cuddly, dammit. And look at me now! Just. Look. At. Me.

I should post a pic when I shave my cat Jell-o. She doesn’t hold still well, so we usually just snip at her with scissors until she looks like she has the mange. I wish more groomers would shave cats…

I’m right there with you! We have a pekingese that DH insists on shaving. I keep telling him if I’d wanted a pug I’d have bought a pug. It doesn’t matter. He waits until I’m not looking and then takes a hunk out of her hair so there really isn’t much choice. She does seem happier in the summer though so I’ve pretty much resigned myself to owning a pug.

We used to shave our lab because of skin problems. She didn’t like that much either…

Kira, I do think he’ll be happier shaved short. He’s just having so many skin problems, I had to do something.
Kimberly, I have a lab, too, but he seems to do fine. (And I can’t imagine shaving him. Eek!)

My mother’s dogs are allergic to grass. It’s like insta-itch to them and they will literally naw sores all over themselves. Her vet told her to give her chihuahua half of a childrens bendryl to help. It seems to work wonderfully. Oh and she uses a prescription medicated shampoo on them sometimes too, and for other baths she just uses head and shoulders! Poor Ollie! Dont be mad if he shows his gratitude by leaving you gifts in the house
