Ginger, I do a breakfast casserole every year at Christmas. I love it. :)

Julie, I also love mint chocolate chip ice cream. **Note to self. Stay away from frozen food in grocery store...** :coffee:

Kimberly, it's not supposed to be on my diet either. :pan:

Marilyn, that quiche sounds good!

Andrea, staking a claim doesn't do any good here. If the savages can find it, it's fair game. I have to hide things. There's gum in my pantie drawer, too.

Pie for breakfast sounds completely reasonable. On par with pop tarts and the sugary marshmellow puff cereals they market to kids. I wish there were M&M's hiding in my cereal boxes, but alas, just fiber clusters.

I have learned in my house that I must stake my claim on something if I put it in the fridge and it is not to be eaten. Either that or stick it behind the jug of soy milk which DB will not touch for any reason, even to look behind it. He doesn't look for anything, it must jump into his lap.

We've had lengthy discussions also about the cookie jar. We've always had one. He'll ask me where the cookies he bought are and I'll tell him they're in the cookie jar. "We have a cookie jar?" Yes...then a few months later, we repeat the conversation. With most things, if it was a snake, it'd bite him.

Not exactly on my diet either unless it's an egg and Canadian bacon pie. Hmmmm... I made a crustless quiche on Friday night using Egg Beaters and fat-free cottage cheese. That's starting to sound really good for breakfast.

There are many days when breakfast just isn't breakfast without dessert. Remember the Bill Cosby riff about "Dad is great! Gave us the chocolate cake!" It has milk, eggs, flour...healthy stuff. And you just reminded me of the mint chocolate chip icecream hidden in the outdoor freezer! Wahoo! Lunch!

I hear you on the Pop Tarts...love 'em, but sometimes you need a break.

Bad girl!!! But I know what you mean, you get tired of the same old thing and just want something different. Reading about your pie makes be want to go home and fix a breakfast casserole. And if I just had some sausage that is very doable for me....hmmm, let me check my freezer this evening. Have a marvelous Monday morning.
