We’re off…

Sunday, March 4th, 2007

This week I’ll be in Washington DC with my son and the rest of his Eighth Grade Class.

Pray for me.

In all seriousness, I love history so Washington, DC is the place for me.  I’ve been there a couple of times and have enjoyed myself immensely.  Of course, I have never been there with twenty-two hormonally charged fourteen and fifteen year olds, so I may have a new perspective when I get home.  We shall see…

At any rate, the blog will still be up and running and I’ve asked Jen to handle posts for me, so still swing by and let me know what’s happening in your little part of the world.

Until next week…

Well, it’s a little soggy here in my little part of Alabama and there’s a few limbs down in my yard, but we’re unharmed.  The kids were released early from school, so we hunkered down in the hall bath–the safest place in our house–and listened to the tornado sirens wail most of yesterday.  I don’t mind a good thunderstorm, but tornadoes scare the crap out of me.  (No pun intended. ) Not fun.  I’ve got Enterprise and all those people who have lost loved ones yesterday in my prayers.  Terrible, terrible stuff. :/

Muah haha!

New printer installed and working?  Check.

New router installed and working?  Check.  (But only after I spent an hour on the phone with tech support last night, but that’s not the point.  The point is that I won!)

At any rate, my computer woes seem to be at an end.  Now if the thunderstorms and tornadoes in the forecast today don’t ruin anything, I should be back in business.   Hope everyone in this bad weather path stays safe today!  It looks like it’s gonna get rough here in the Tennessee Valley…
