New Phone!
I have a new phone. It’s not nearly as pretty as my Razr, but for what it lacks in style it makes up for with coolness.   It’s an MP3 Player–as though I’ll ever use that–but the neat thing about is I can set specific ringtones for friends and family. In no particular order, here’s how it’s shaping up so far.
Mom–Every Move You Make, The Police (She dedicated this to me through our local radio station on my sixteenth birthday)
Home–Sweet Home Alabama, Lynryd Skynrd
Kids Line–You’ll Always Be My Baby, Sara Evans
Hubby–Urgent, Foreigner (I downloaded Beast of Burden, but it won’t let me set that as a ringtone. )
Son–Bad To the Bone, George Thorogood
Jen–Glamorous, Fergie
Precious–Born to Be Wild, Steppenwolf
I like the whole lemons to lemonade outlook! And I love this new phone! Because I am easily entertained…

I’m still loading up my ringtones.
Mom: Mamma Mia by Abba
Counselor Shelley: Girls on Film by Duran Duran
Playfriends: Paperback Writer
DG: I’m trying to get the theme song from the TV show Mad About You, but no luck yet.
I’m still deciding on the others. Yes, I’m spending far too much time on this when I should be doing other things…

DB : Heaven by Bryan Adams (I wanted White & Nerdy but I knew he’d find out eventually)
Mom: Mamma Mia by Abba
Stepdad: Unbelievable by UMF
Playfriends: You Spin Me Round by Dead or Alive
Anyone else: still playing my Christmas song Christmas Canon by the Transiberian Orchestra because I no longer have an internet plan to download a new one, plus, the above are almost exclusively the only people that call me on my cell.
I love this stuff!

Beast of Burden.
This is getting way too complicated for me. My phone just rings and I look in the little window to see who’s calling.

P.S. Your little smiley guys have disappeared again.

I have to fess up that I TOLD Rhonda I wanted Glamorous as my ring tone. ;-)
Glamorous is my generic ring tone. Specfics:
Rhonda — Brown-eyed Girl by Van Morrison
DH — Sexy Back by Justin Timberlake (I thought it was funny for him)
Girl — This One’s for the Girls by Martina McBride

But see, Marilyn, my phone is always MIA. It is always misplaced, buried deep in my purse or left on a table somewhere. If it just rang, I’d have to find it, then see who it is. If “Heaven” is playing, I know its Jason. If “You Spin Me” is playing, I know I have to answer it cause its someone I want to talk to!
Of course, I also run the risk of ignoring the music thinking it is someone’s radio or the tv and not my phone. Takes some getting used to…

I have no earthly idea how to download ringtones to my phone and if they are not free, it’s not going to happen anyway. I don’t even know how to put names to numbers in my phone. Thank goodness for student workers that do that for me. And yes the smileys are MIA. Get the SWAT team on this please!!!!

Well, my impatience got the better of me….I ordered my Razr last night
Now oldest child is spitting mad, cause she so wants this phone too.( I am secretly bidding on Ebay for one for her) And yes I love setting the ringtones for different people. Cant wait to get my new toy
And where did the smileys go?! Just because its Friday does not mean they get a three day weekend!

Kimberly, love the Paperback Writer for the Playfriends!
Andrea, I do, too. I can be such a geek.
Marilyn, I *really* wish I could get Beast of Burden to work. I think I may try downloading from a different source. (And I’ve emailed about the smiley’s. Sorry! We don’t know what keep happening.)
Jen, I love that I’m Brown-Eyed Girl on yours. Mine plays Brown-Eyed Girl as a default.
Andrea, might I suggest the Vera Bradley bag I’m carrying. The front pocket is perfect for holding a cell phone.
Ginger, the ringtones aren’t too expensive, but they are a little splurge.
Sheryl, I got my son’s Razr from eBay. We’ve had great luck with it. I do like the Razr’s menu better–more user friendly, and then there are all those cool colors…

If I promise to call you more often, will you make my song “Bad Reputation” by Joan Jett? Pretty please???

Certainly, Julie! Must go look for new ringtone…
