Kimberly--let him play sports. Little kids are so cute. My child is not an athlete but he loves being there and making new friends. He is a little social butterfly that likes everybody.

Rhonda--A friend of mine at work was telling the other day that her daughter sail anyone could come to her game except her dad. He does not cheer he coaches. Cheer your little "big" guy on. :cheer:

My fear is that AC will play sports...

I'm not a sports fan, and when I see parents on the sidelines in cold or rainy or blistering weather, I pray AC will be a ballet geek instead. :hi:

Jen, I think you're right. Cheering is fine--coaching is not. :-)

Ginger, I will!

Danniele, this has truly been an experience. I had no idea school sports were so demanding. I played basketball, but we didn't practice every day, or have to attend summer work-outs.

Marilyn, me and the dh actually like being at the ball field. I enjoy cheering for the boys and chatting to the other parents. I have my chair, pick my spot and park it for the duration. And the hamburgers... Yum. :cheer:

Ah... the days of Little League.

You know, I honestly miss going to the games. I'm not sure I miss all the practices and shopping for new gloves and shoes and of course there was that first time to buy an athletic cup (the DH just HAD to be out of town that week).

But I love baseball and it was always fun to cheer my guys on.

Uh...I think the critical difference here is *sideline coaching* versus *cheering.* The DH and I have had several "discussions" regarding this very thing. :pan:
