Annoyed Isn’t the Word…

Let me paint a picture for you.  Every night before I go to bed, I make sure that our house is in order.  Check to see who needs to pack a lunch the next day, clothes are ready for school, some semblance of breakfast is on hand.  I set the thermostat, take Ollie out for a final pee and bring Ocho, our Black Lab, IN.

This isn’t easy.

He likes guarding the property and barking at crickets and coyotes.  At various stages of the day he enjoys being inside, but when it gets dark, he’s on duty, if you will.  This means that if he is not safely locked up in the house HE BARKS ALL NIGHT.  For reasons known only to my moron husband, he decided to let the dog back out again.  Why he does this remains a mystery, but suffice it to say, it’s 3:13AM and I have unsuccessfully tried to bring the barking dog back into the house for the past 30 minutes while my moron husband sleeps.  I guarantee you he is the only one in a mile radius getting any sleep.  The rest of us are up.  Because the &*%$@! is BARKING!!!

I am not happy.

Wake him and make him deal with the dog he let out. Hope you have a great week.

  2. Jen Says:

Toots, Susan beat me too it. I’d have been rousting my beloved moron so that he could deal with getting the dog back in.

  3. Marilyn Says:

I’d let him sleep in the doghouse too.

You got your smilies back! Yay!

  4. Rhonda Says:

Susan and Jen, waking him doesn’t work. He can sleep through anything. (And I do love my moron, but honestly! This is getting on my last nerve!)

Marilyn, that’s an excellent idea. Maybe if he were outside, he could hear the barking dog and would be inclined to do something about it.

Hmmm. It’s awfully quiet here today. Ya’ll are tired of me whining when it isn’t Wednesday, aren’t you?

About the only thing that wakes me these days is AC. I don’t sleep through a “Mommy!” at 4am (but I’m not happy about it). I ended up sleeping in AC’s bed…sigh.
