Brrr…
It’s miserably cold down here in the Humid Land. I’m not cut out for this. My feet stay cold regardless of how many pairs of socks I put on, my skin is dry from running the heat 24/7, taking the dog out to do his business is torture and pumping gas–egads, I thought my ears were going to chip off my head before I could get back into the car. I don’t know how you people up North stand it. Seriously. At first I thought, oh, good cold weather. Hot cocoa and blazing fires.
To hell with that.
The only positive thing I can see coming out of this is that surely surely SURELY it’s gotten cold enough this winter to kill off some of the mosquitoes.
Hope everyone has a nice, warm weekend.  Me and mine are going to huddle in.

Seriously, this is just plain WRONG. I grew up in the desert. Yeah, it was 115 in the summer with zero humidity, but we put on coats and turned on the heat when it hit 65. 14 is not a temperature, it’s a pant size (mine, unfortunately).
When is spring going to get here?

AMEN.
I am southern, dammit. I live in Alabama for a reason. I need warm, humid weather to survive. This weather is for the birds. Or Yankees.

Even us Yankees are fed up with the cold.
I live in the suburbs of Buffalo, NY (we’re noted for our lake effect snow - it’s measured in feet not inches) It has been in the single digit’s for almost a month and enough is enough. I’m tired of being cold!!

Kimberly, the older I get the warmer I prefer it. I’m ready to move to Bermuda.
Lisbeth, you poor baby! That’s just miserable. My brother lives in Minnesota. Too dang cold!
Hey, we’re heading up to Gatlinburg tomorrow for winter break. I was supposed to go ahead of the fam and check-in at the condo which is “1 mile up curvy mountain road” and I just saw there’s a 60% chance for rain/snow there tomorrow. I think not. I’m not driving on ice/snow and especially not in my car. The DH is going to have to work something out with his 4-wheel drive.

Yep, that’s right!!! We are in the south and it’s just toooooooo cold. I am still healing from an inner ear infection that had the room spinning and now with this cold weather I have a headache & the sniffles. Crap, send this weather somewhere else for a little while. Anywhos, have a great, COLD weekend!!!!

Even Bermuda isn’t always warm. We went there in November of 1965 and I had to wear a jacket the whole week. Never put on the shorts I took. I wore the same pair of jeans all week. But I loved the island — great, but expensive, place to visit.
Bring on the warm weather! But who wants to bet that on a “Whine About it Wednesday” in August we’ll be bitching about the humidity?
Hope you get to make your trip, Jen.

Uh huh. I’m not even going to tell you what the temperatures have been up here.
By the way, Rhonda, hate me if you want, but you’ve been tagged.

Andrea, I think Mother Nature is suffering from ADD. I’m beginning to wonder if warmer temps are ever going to get here.
Kimberly, I’m a fan of warm, but not humid.
Lizabeth, I can’t even begin to imagine what things are like up there. I enjoyed seeing and playing in the snow in Colorado, but for whatever reason, it didn’t seem as cold there.
Jen, have fun in Gatlinburg! I’ll miss you! (And I’ll probably call you.
Ginger, hugs on the ear infection!
Marilyn, you’re exactly right–come August we’ll be bitching about the humidity. I’m actually looking forward to it.
Kris, no doubt your local temps are well below freezing, bless your tiny little heart. And I’m tagged? Must check this out….

Andrea…size 14 isn’t a temperature, it’s a pant size…that is PRICELESS. And since it’s 52 degrees right now in “sunny” Florida, I agree with you. I can only imagine what you guys north of me are going through. I’m wearing long underwear, jeans, sweats, wooly socks and my Vanelis (Rhonda…check out Vaneli fur-lined mules…they will keep your toes toasty, you watch!)

Julie, I googled the shoes. Gorgeous! And I bet those would keep my toes warm.
