New Toy…
My new computer will arrive via UPS tomorrow. I am torn between elation and dread. Elation because this sucker has a dual processor–yippee!!–and a 22 inch LCD screen–bigger YAY!!!Â
Dread because I’m going to have to reload all of my software–provided I can even find it–onto the new baby. I have an external hard drive which backs up everything at night, but I’m not sure that it does the program files. I’m pretty sure that it only backs up documents, pictures, etc… Then there’s the wireless router. My uncle actually took care of that for me, but it hardly seems right to ask him to do it again. I’m taking the Pollyanna approach and am convincing myself that I can take care of it.
Anyway, I will try to blog first thing in the morning before the UPS truck runs, but don’t be surprised if I’m AWOL for a couple of days.Â
In the mean time, wish me luck.

Congrats on the new computer! 22 inch sounds like heaven!
I’m hoping to have a new one myself in the next month or so. Mine’s 6 years old, on it’s 3rd hard drive and about to die again.

Good luck with the new computer. I’m doing jury duty today…..
. I’m on lunch break right now and decided to check emails and such. Can’t wait to get on a jury because that sucker’s gonna fry………..maybe? Have a warm Monday.

Kira, sounds like you definitely need a new one. I was worried about the old computer dying, which was why I went ahead and ordered a new one.

Good luck on the computer setup and transfer. My hubby took care of all ours when we got one 4 years ago.

Congrats on the new computer! I’m hoping to put one of my first royalty checks towards a new one for myself, too.
But I know the dilemma you’re facing — I’m dreading being in the same situation of having to install all the drivers and software and what-have-you for the damned thing…
I wish you tons of luck setting it all up, and that your UPS guy is a hottie.
