Whine About it Wednesday!
My husband came home from work a couple of days ago and mentioned that he was more than likely going to start a new schedule. Instead of working half a day on Saturday, then going back for a few hours Saturday night, he was going to work a full day, then have Sunday and Monday off.
Since he’s never had two full days off, on the surface this would seem like a good thing, right? As it stands Saturday is pretty much shot, anyway.  Plus he’d have Monday off as well. He could schedule check-ups and dental appts without having to take off. It would be great for him.
But it’s the Monday that’s bugging me, and I’m being purely selfish here, I know. No doubt I will win the Bad Wife Award for what I’m about to share, but…
I can’t work when he’s here!
He’ll have the TV on. He’ll be loud. He’ll need me to find things for him.Â
He’ll want more than the peanut butter and jelly sandwich I normally fix for myself for lunch. In short, he’ll need attention.Â
:whimper:

This is why I told my husband he can’t retire until he has a full-time hobby — preferably one that must be done away from home.
Maybe you just need to have a little chit-chat with the DH and explain that you need a good working atmosphere on Mondays.
My whine for today? I have the sniffles and my throat is scratchy. I’ve started with the zinc and vitamin C lozenges in case it’s a cold. I’m hoping maybe it’s allergy since I’ve been cleaning out my office and kicking up a lot of dust.

Ginger, I had my roto-rooter done last Friday. Wasn’t it fun??????????
Why do fathers pull that kind of money crap? I’ve seen friends go through this and it just frosts my cookies. We have a friend in Florida who is a family law attorney and he lives for hauling deadbeat dads into court and making them pay or go to jail. And if they say “Well if I have to go to jail, how can I work and pay her” his reply is “You shoulda thought about that sooner!”

Any chance there’s a lock on your office door? Do you own a set of earplugs?

I understand. I get nothing down when my husband is here. You going to have to come up with errands for him to run.
My whine is that I hate January. Our computer system is my main problem. It will not print my 1099’s. So I have to use another program for to do them. I will be glad when it is Feb.

Marilyn, it was fun in that I didn’t feel or know what was going on
. However, Sunday was the pits to say the least
. I need to get in touch with you about your lawyer friend in Florida. How can I reach you? Sorry, Rhonda for using your website as a go between.

Marilyn, hope you feel better soon! I still have the sniffles from the crud.
Hugs Ginger! Egads that ex sounds like a painful throrn in your side.
Kimberly, there isn’t even a door to my office. It’s so sad. :sniff:
Susan, errands might work. Will file that away.
Sorry the computer system is giving you a fit. I went looking for a new desktop yesterday and couldn’t find anything. The stores around here are cleaned out, apparently because Vista debuts on the 30th. Do I want Vista? No. Grrrrr.
Ginger, no worries! I’m just glad people keep showing up here.
